I often describe myself as a tradesman in a shirt. I had my own Plumbing & Electrical business for several years, then joined a leading national energy and funding provider delivering energy efficient products directly to the end user and via a funded stream such as ECO, Greener Homes Grant and RHI. Having run my own business and been working at Senior Management level as Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, Head of ECO and Head of Virtual Sales. I believe these experiences have given me an amazing grounding to enable to work at various departments within the business, using the saying “Would you accept that in your house” to keep my work to the level I would expect. The ethos of any good Tradesperson. As I have literally been the man on the ground, I understand the challenges for the installation teams and for the customers. This allows me to be empathetic and create a process that limits the upheaval for the customer.
Zoe has an extensive list of working with customers and people. Various roles have been customer service based but has also had NHS experience within the care sector. I am a people person. I love speaking to and meeting new people. I can almost always find common ground with the people I meet or speak to, and I like to make people feel comfortable in my presence whether that is faced to face or over the phone. I am sympathetic and have an emphatic ear I will always try and put myself in someone else’s shoes. I want the customer to feel at ease and for the project to go as smoothly as it can. Sometimes that is not always the case, but I believe in the way things are listened to, handled, and communicated is key to any company. Therefore I have joined the team here at VSL Renewables and I am very excited for the future.

Comprises of Solar Panels, an Inverter & battery. Any excess energy over what is being used directly will first be stored in the battery until the battery is full, the excess after that can also still be sent back to the grid. This package is best suited for people who don’t use the majority of their energy through the day and need energy for evening use too. There are also other ways to save money with a battery, such as ‘force changing’.  In the settings you can set the battery to force charge over a certain period of time, this is usually between 12am and 4am utilising tariffs which have a day rate/night rate.

EV Charging Points allow you to charge electric vehicles at high rates, speeding up the charging time. These can also be paired with Solar, changing the settings on the charger to use any excess energy you have created from the panels to automatically discharge into your car.
