Amey S&C Northern Alliance required a next generation open plan modular office space to house up to 100 people at any one time, offering large and mid-sized meeting rooms, canteen and breakout areas inclusive of a fully managed FM solution daily. The scope was heavily led by our customer, as this was the biggest NWR track renewal project in history to date. Due to the significance of this project our customer wanted to be able to view each stage of the 16-mile renewal from our bespoke video wall throughout the duration of the Derby Remodelling project.

From the initial enquiry the VSL project team liaised with Amey representatives to gain an understanding of their full requirements for perfect the solution. We carried out a site survey to locate services and initial design requirements including GI & Plate load tests, this in turn gave us a better understanding for the positioning of the building. After completion of these requirements we could then work with the Amey team to design the compound layout drawings, this would include foundations, parking, walking routes, lighting design, fencing & security. As a result, our facilities allowed Amey S&C Northern Alliance to finish this prestigious project ahead of the schedule and on budget. Due to the success of delivery and innovation used throughout the Derby Remodelling project it has now been nominated for an award by Network Rail.
